10/29/10 - Jacob Thomas Valenzano
We are overjoyed to announce the arrival of Jacob Thomas Valenzano. He was
born at 12:27 p.m. on Friday, October 22nd, weighing in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces
and measuring 19" in length. Aunt Teri was in attendance to assist John and
Meagan at the birth and Meagan's mother has been a great help with Brian. New
grandparents Terry and Elaine Valenzano came to visit Friday evening before
having to fly back overseas. Jacob is now home and nursing CONSTANTLY, but
he's an absolute delight and we couldn't be happier. Photos are available here.
10/15/10 - The wedding
The wedding was spectacular! Thank you so much to everyone attending and our
sincerest sympathies to those with last minute family emergencies who could
not. All told, we had 120 guests and were thrilled by the generous outpouring
of love. Pictures from the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and

09/26/10 - Two weeks and counting
It's getting pretty interesting around here at Chez Valenzano. We've been busy
little beavers finalizing wedding plans and making the last arrangements, even
while Meagan has been on doctor-mandated bed rest. John and Brian were fitted
for their tuxedos on Saturday and John is happy to announce he's lost a full
TWELVE INCHES off his waistline since this spring. John and Riyad met with
Nino, our florist, for final selections 10 days ago and with the DJ this past
Friday. Meagan's custom-designed wedding dress arrived this past week and it
fits perfectly, no alterations necessary. Her shoes have been dropped off to
be dyed. She's been hard at work on her bridesmaid gifts between naps and work
sessions, while John clicked his mouse a few times to give appreciation to
his groomsmen. Speaking of groomsmen, John's bachelor party will be next Saturday,
October 2nd while Meagan's bachelorette evening will be on Thursday, October
7th. She asked that the bachelor party be a full week before the wedding, just
in case significant bail arrangements need to be made. Final meeting with the
country club is scheduled this Wednesday afternoon and more news will be posted
after that. Two weeks and counting!!!
08/15/10 - BABY UPDATE - BRIDAL SHOWER PICS POSTED
Well, it's certainly been a very interesting past few weeks here at the Valenzano/Andrew
household. Meagan had been complaining of some major pain in her left calf,
which continued to worsen one weekend. We were able to get a prescription for
vicodin phoned in to Walgreens, but the follow up with her doctor (and an ultrasound
of the leg), revealed she had a blood clot (DVT) partially occluding a major
vein. She's been on injected blood thinners twice daily since and has not been
able to return to work. Thankfully, her boss (and her boss's boss AND her boss's
boss's boss) have allowed her to continue working from home via her laptop
and Blackberry.
Ashante, Hope, Teri and Ada threw Meagan's bridal shower on August 8th as

07/11/10 - WEBSITE UPDATED

here) and new photographs of us and Baby Jacob (click

07/5/10 - BRIDAL SHOWER
Meagan's Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids are throwing her a bridal shower on
August 8 at 2 p.m. in Houston. Invitations forthcoming this week for the

06/24/10 - BABY UPDATE
It's a boy!! Meagan is now 20 weeks pregnant and our son, Jacob Thomas
Valenzano, is already a handful. We've already had a couple of ultrasound
sessions and it appears Jake is already auditioning for "So You Think You Can Dance".
He's exceptionally energetic and is routinely kicking Mommy to remind her
of his presence. We've registered at Babies
'R Us and Target and Aunt Teri is
planning on hosting an upcoming Baby Shower. More details as they become available.
04/13/10 - whoops (ahead of schedule)
Meagan has been feeling sick the past few weeks, and with very good reason.
It turned out that she's pregnant! That's right, we're going to have a baby.
It was always part of our plan... but for next year... so, we're an entire
year ahead of schedule! You may be familiar with those ortho whatchamacallit
birth control patches... well, they're supposedly 98.6% effective, which means
we're in that pesky 1.4%. Meagan is glowing, John's proud as a peacock and
Brian is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his little brother or sister. With
the wedding still set for 10/10, it's a little cute that the baby is currently
due 11/11. Now, if anybody needs a brand new, tags still on it, formal Alfred
Angelo wedding gown... please let us know. =)
04/05/10 - vendors selected
Well, we've finalized a few crucial details, including several of the vendors
for the reception. We'd already planned to use Pine Forest Country Club for
both the ceremony AND the reception itself, but recently we've decided on a
cake from Cakes By Gina, photography by Kreative Angles and entertainment and
effects lighting from DJs Unlimited. Of course, Nino Shbeeb, the #1 florist
in Houston, is a good friend of John's (through Riyad) and will be providing
all the florals for the ceremony and reception, just like he did for Teri's
wedding in November.
03/19/10 - Save-the-dates sent
Meagan finally got it together to finalize and merge addresses and John spent
a good chunk of Spring Break preparing the envelopes, stuffing and sealing. That
said, the Save the Dates are now out!!! We hope that many of you will be able
to join us to celebrate this special day in October. Out-of-towners, please take
note of the special deals that Maid of Honor and event planner, Ashante Horton,
has negotiated for you. The Crowne Plaza will offer discounted rooms and shuttle
to/from Pine Forest. There are also other nearby hotels in the energy corridor
on the other side of I-10 and Hwy 6. Please let us know if you have any questions.
11/24/09 - Guestbook added
With a little help from my programmer extraordinaire, Fabian Gonzalez, our
Website Guestbook is now live and on the air. Be sure to head over and sign
it!
11/20/09 - wedding website posted and engagement party invites sent
Since you're reading this posting, you already know that John has been VERY
hard at work building our wedding website and getting it ready for viewing
by all our friends and family. Being the perfectionist that he is he wasn't
satisfied with the freebie website we got through TheKnot.com, so he repurposed
an existing (but defunct) site design and voila! Here it is!
Lots of information has already been posted, so be sure to check out all
the pages and continue to come back, as new information and photos will be
posted as they become available.
Additionally, we've set the date and time for our engagement party, which
will be on Saturday, December 5th at our house at 2:00 p.m. Meagan did a
wonderful job whipping up and printing out some invitations, which went out
by snail mail just the other day. We'll also be sending some email invitations.
All of our friends and family in the Houston area are invited to join us
for some food and cheer. Well... lots of cheer, as we have a TON of alcohol
leftover from sister Teri's wedding events.
